Simply, haul trucks are used to transport adult fish from the grow-out facility, live, to the customer. Proper aeration during transport is necessary to keep the fish alive. Typically, many haul trucks use soaker hose for aeration. As compared to Colorite AeroTube™ aeration tubing, soaker hose must be replaced 3 to 4 times a year, while AeroTube™ lasts an average of 18 months or more. Replacing soaker hose with AeroTube™ not only reduces the cost of material, but reduces downtime as well.
