Raceways/PAS PDF Print E-mail

The raceway system, also known as a flow-through system, was developed as the first way to provide for aquaculture at inland locations. The raceway is used to move water through the aquaculture structure to maintain necessary levels of water quality. The PAS (Partitioned Aquaculture System), which involves the use of a series of raceways within the aquaculture structure, represents the latest raceway technology. Typically, adequate aeration for raceways can be cost prohibitive since large volumes of water must be pumped at regular intervals to maintain proper aeration. Colorite AeroTube™ aeration tubing helps to drastically reduce these costs by delivering continuous bubble aeration.
